Pocket sprung
The Discovery uses a top-of-the-range pocket sprung foundation to deliver a sleeping experience of unparalleled comfort and support. The 1500 independently moving pocket springs nestled beneath the foam adaptively support your weight and correctly align the spine. This mattress provides a medium firm tension.
Memory foam layer
The Discovery Pocket uses a 75mm layer of V60 memory foam to embrace your body to improve circulation whilst also cushioning vulnerable joints. The memory foam used in the construction of the Horizon Discovery has an open cell structure that reacts to heat and pressure by moulding to the contours of your body, relieving pressure and preventing the development of those all too familiar aches and pains.
Would a medium firm mattress be good for a side sleeper?
The benefit of a medium firm mattress is that it can provide the right support for anyone, whether they are a front, back or even side sleeper. A medium firm mattress will provide you with the postural support you need to rest in a comfortable position for a healthy spinal alignment. Plus, it is better for couples since it means you can both sleep in your preferred sleeping positions. A medium or soft mattress would be better for a side sleeper however, you will still benefit from a medium firm mattress.
