Best Buy in January 2018 shows the quality and endurance of the mattress. Also easily maintained, the Orchid doesn’t require turning or rotating, whilst still offering durability, breathable qualities and great comfort.
Latex core
Much like the rest of Dunlopillo’s Signature Collection it uses organic latex. A material that is very similar to memory foam but is more eco-friendly and offers natural cooling properties, meaning you won’t overheat and encourages a deeper and more restful sleep. The latex core ventilates your bed as you move, maintaining a cool and dry sleeping experience that will help you sleep.
The latex core also features 7 comfort zones, which are areas of soft support for strained parts of the body such as hips, feet and shoulders. Whilst there is firmer support elsewhere so it can promote healthy spine alignment. It offers progressive comfort and pressure relief because latex is very elastic, therefore the mattress moves with the contours of your body and allows you to move independently from a partner. It’s also noise free as its similar to foam, meaning you can get a more restful sleep. This mattress offers firmer support and tension.
Dunlopillo source their latex sustainably, especially because it takes one tree 500 days to produce enough latex for one mattress. However such a process is worth it for the long lasting properties of the mattress which remains durable for years. Dunlopillo are clearly confident in their mattress as they offer a 10 year guarantee with it.

Actipro™ technology
Dunlopillo have treated the soft knitted cover that stretches over the latex core with Actipro™ technology. Mirroring the qualities of latex itself, it’s anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, prevents the build up of dust mites and odours. As latex promotes these qualities anyway, it really makes for a refreshing and clean mattress.
Which? Best Buy
The Orchid really proves its quality through its award of the Which? Best Buy mattress in January 2018. This means that the mattress went through scrupulous testing including a 10 year pressure simulation, body support tests and a stabilisation evaluation. The Orchid proved to give firm support without it getting harder or softer over time, providing undisturbed sleep and support that encourages the natural alignment of your spine.
Please note: this mattress must be used with an air-permeable base.

Is a firmer mattress right for me?
If you’re a preferred back or front sleeper or you’re of a larger weight group, a firmer mattress is better designed for you. For those who have larger statures, your weight will be evenly distributed across a firmer mattress which will help you wake up feeling like you’ve been properly supported. If you’re a back or even front sleeper then this will ensure that your lower back receives the support it needs to have a healthy spinal alignment. A lot of what tension your mattress is, comes down to personal preference. However, if you were to sleep on a softer tension, it wouldn’t necessarily provide you with the postural support you need and could result in back pain.
