AirSprung Eco Hybrid Mattress

AirSprung is committed to proactively protecting the environment, and with this notion in mind, they have produced the Eco Hybrid Rolled Mattress. 

The mattress’ sleeping surface fabric, ‘REPREVE Our Ocean’, is created from 100% ocean-bound plastic at high risk of ending up in the ocean. The plastic is collected from within 50km of the coast and waterways in regions with underdeveloped waste or recycling systems, allowing new infrastructure to flourish.

The Reviver insulator layer is constructed from 100% recycled soft fabric offcuts, this is placed on top of the supercoil spring and mini pocket springs to provide a reassuring, even feel. 

The mattress’ fillings consist of 80% recycled polyester, providing the basis for a comforting rest and reinforcing the mattresses’ approach to sustainability and the environment.

It’s no secret that mattresses aren’t the most conveniently shaped and can be problematic to deliver. AirSprung has considered this and has opted for a ‘rolled mattress’, ensuring the mattress arrives at a fraction of its size with secure packaging to maintain its quality. 

The Eco Hybrid Rolled Mattress incorporates an open coil spring, steel coils wound into hundreds of springs and connected by a wire rod edge, and pocket spring- individual tempered springs standing upright inside individual sleeves. The Mini pocket springs and Airsprung Supercoil springs work harmoniously for maximum support and comfort all night long. With the hybrid mattress, you receive the benefits of open coil mattresses and the excellent support they provide and the benefits of pocket springs- pocket spring mattresses individually mould better to your body shape to ensure you’re receiving adequate support.
